Grace Lutheran Church | Pew Upholstery Transformation
Savanna Williams-Bowlin
Grace Lutheran Church in Oak Creek, Wisconsin, wanted more comfort on solid wood pews without replacing them. Sharpe’s Church Interiors added high-density foam and durable fabric on-site so Sundays could keep running.
How we approach this: pew upholstery services.
Solid wood, new cushioning
The frames had character and were structurally sound. What they lacked was padding and an updated cover. New foam and fabric kept the traditional look while making long services easier to sit through — usually cheaper than a full pew replacement. For more examples, see our pew upholstery in Williamston, KY and pew refresh in South Carolina, or learn more about our pew refinishing service.
Fabric built for weekly use
They picked a performance fabric for durability and color hold under heavy traffic. (Our Timeless Collection expands those options further when it rolls out fully.)
On-site install
- Upholstery done in the sanctuary
- New foam
- Fabric replacement
- Minor frame repair if needed
- Floors protected, services scheduled around
