See Our Work
Every sanctuary we work on is different, but the goal is always the same: seating your congregation is proud of. This page collects real church pew upholstery before and after photos from churches we’ve served across the country, along with refinished woodwork, new carpet and full sanctuary makeovers. Most jobs are done on-site, so your pews never leave the building.
Each project on this page was handled by our own in-house crews, not subcontractors. In other words, the same people who measure your pews and help you pick fabric are the ones who install it. Our flooring crew works the same way, so carpet and pews can be planned together instead of juggled between separate companies.
We also offer a design service and turnkey sanctuary makeovers, bringing pews, wood, flooring and paint together under one schedule. Sharpe’s Church Interiors is a veteran-owned, family-run company in Dunn, NC, and we’re BBB A+ accredited. Plus, when you request a quote, you can expect a callback within one business day.
Below, you’ll find side-by-side photos first, followed by galleries grouped by type of work and videos from recent jobs. For example, you can see the seat and back reupholstery we completed at Zoan Baptist Church in Fredericksburg, VA.
Church Pew Upholstery Before and After Photos
Burgundy pews refurbished in gray fabric, Cherryville, NC
First, these worn burgundy pews were stripped down and covered in a durable gray fabric. As a result, the whole room feels brighter and more modern.
Pew upholstery and refurbishing, Mt. Pleasant, SC
Here, the old rolling fabric had worn thin. Our crew replaced it with fresh upholstery and refurbished the pews so they look and feel new again.
Seat and back reupholstery, Zoan Baptist Church, Fredericksburg, VA
At Zoan Baptist Church, we reupholstered both the seats and backs with new gray fabric and foam. In addition, the new foam makes long services far more comfortable.
Synagogue pews refreshed in light gray fabric, New Jersey
Similarly, these synagogue benches traded faded blue fabric for a light gray that suits the room and holds up to weekly use.
Solid wood pews, before and after new upholstery
Finally, this church pew upholstery before and after shows how added padding turns plain solid wood pews into comfortable seating while keeping the original woodwork.
Pew Upholstery
Next, here are more of our pew upholstery jobs, from small chapels to large sanctuaries. Every fabric is chosen with the church and installed by our own crew.

Pew Refinishing & Repair
Beyond fabric, we also repair and refinish pew woodwork. These photos show our crew removing old fabric and foam and restoring the wood.

Carpet & Flooring
Because our flooring crew is in-house too, new carpet can be installed alongside your pews. That way, the colors match and the work stays on one schedule.
