Finished church sanctuary aisle with renewed pews and flooring

Sanctuary Makeover · Pews + flooring, planned as one

Church pews and flooring. One plan for the finished sanctuary.

Sharpe’s Church Interiors helps committees plan the room people sit in and walk — pew upholstery and sanctuary flooring together, with wood, paint, and design only when they belong in the quote.

Sharpe’s Church Interiors is the only company that does both pew reupholstery and church flooring — and includes design — in one coordinated sanctuary plan.

Start with the finished room

Start with the finished sanctuary, not a list of vendors.

A church sanctuary makeover is more than a fabric swatch or a carpet sample. Pews, flooring, wood, paint, and design all change how the room feels. When those decisions are split across unrelated vendors, committees struggle to compare options and protect Sunday.

A sanctuary makeover at Sharpe’s is about the room your congregation sits in and walks through every Sunday. We plan church pew upholstery and sanctuary flooring as one project, so the fabric, the floor, and the schedule work together.

Wood refresh, paint, and design support can be added when the committee wants them. They are never assumed.

What it is

  • Sanctuary pews and flooring planned together
  • One team and one written quote the committee can compare
  • Wood, paint, and design only when they belong in the plan

Who this is for

Who a sanctuary makeover is for

Pastors, trustees, building committees, and facilities leaders who are planning church pew reupholstery, sanctuary flooring, or both. Some call it a church sanctuary remodel, others a sanctuary makeover or a church renovation. Whatever the name, the real question is usually the same: how to renew the pews and the floor without losing the room.

A sanctuary makeover fits churches that want one plan, one team, and one quote the committee can compare — so Sunday stays protected while the work happens. Sharpe’s serves churches nationwide, in all 48 contiguous states, from Dunn, North Carolina.

Two crews · One plan

Two crews. One sanctuary plan.

Pews and flooring should agree on color, traffic, comfort, and sequence. Plan both with one church-interiors team — then confirm which work, materials, and dates belong in the quote.

Mobilization, building access, floor and pew protection, and the worship dates that cannot move are reviewed during estimating, so the schedule is built around the church instead of the other way around.

Project example

A finished sanctuary example

The church renovation project story shows what coordinated work looks like when it is finished: pew upholstery and sanctuary flooring, with related room work, planned and completed as one sanctuary project instead of separate vendor jobs.

Read it as an example of how the pieces fit together — fabric, floor, sequence, and protection of the worship schedule. It is not a rate sheet, and it is not a promise that every church gets the same scope. Each sanctuary is reviewed on its own, and the written quote is what defines the work.

Choose the right level

Restore, Core, or Masterpiece — scope directions, not price tiers.

Masterpiece is a coordinated option, not the only option. A church can request a focused pew project, a pew-and-flooring plan, or a broader sanctuary direction.

From idea to quote

How a church committee moves from idea to quote

  1. Tell us about the sanctuary. Church name, location, committee contact, approximate pew count or linear feet, and target season.
  2. Discuss the room. Pew and flooring condition, wood, colors, access, work areas, and worship-calendar constraints.
  3. Review options. Narrow fabric, foam, flooring, wood, paint, and design to a coherent direction.
  4. Confirm the scope. Sharpe’s documents the work, materials, sequencing, and project assumptions.
  5. Schedule the crews. The agreed plan is coordinated around the church’s calendar.

A schedule is confirmed during estimating. Work dates depend on the sanctuary, access, and selected scope — nothing on this page promises a start date or a number of days.

Committee-ready

Designed for committees that need a clear decision

Pastors, trustees, building committees, and facilities leaders need the same plan. Bring these questions to the next meeting:

  • What should stay, what should be restored, and what should be replaced?
  • Are the pews and flooring being selected together?
  • Which materials need samples or renderings?
  • What dates cannot be disturbed by work?
  • Who will approve the final fabric, flooring, and color direction?
  • What photos, measurements, or pew information should go with the quote request?

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Can pew upholstery and sanctuary flooring be one project?

Yes. That is Core, and it is the center of Masterpiece. Scope is confirmed on the quote after the room and calendar are reviewed.

Can a church buy only pew upholstery?

Yes. That is Restore. See the church pew upholstery service page.

What does Masterpiece include?

Pews and flooring planned together. Wood refresh, paint, and designer renderings only if the committee wants them in the quote. Masterpiece is not a required whole-building remodel.

Will the church have to miss a Sunday?

Work is scheduled around the worship calendar. Dates are confirmed in estimating once access and scope are known. “Never miss a Sunday” is the planning goal, not a blanket guarantee before the room has been reviewed.

Do you travel outside North Carolina?

Yes. Sharpe’s Church Interiors serves churches in all 48 contiguous states from our shop in Dunn, NC.

What warranties apply?

Pew upholstery work carries a lifetime workmanship warranty. When flooring is included, as in Core, flooring workmanship is covered for 25 years. Warranty details are confirmed on the written quote.
