Church Pew Upholstery in Kentucky – A Recent Project

Sandhill Christian Church in Vanceburg, Kentucky, had solid wood pews that looked right and sat hard. Sharpe’s Church Interiors added foam and fabric to seats and backs — blue fabric they picked to work with the wood — so the sanctuary kept its traditional character with better comfort.

What they needed

Long services on bare wood get old fast. They wanted cushioning without replacing the pews. Seat-and-back upholstery was the direct answer.

• Deep blue fabric coordinated with the wood and room
• Durable, stain-resistant material for weekly use
• Foam on both seat and back

Install

We applied foam, then the blue fabric, with tight seams and consistent rows. When we finished, the hard wood seats were cushioned and the sanctuary still looked like Sandhill — just more inviting to sit in.
