The situation
Frames were solid. Foam was still serviceable. Fabric on the seats had aged. Full restoration would’ve been overkill, so they chose a seat-only fabric refresh — keep what works, update what’s worn.

It Depends on several Factors
Pew Cushions and their costs vary quite a bit depending on your requirements. Several factors can collectively impact the overall rate your pew cushions will be priced at.
Do you currently have cushions on the pews?
Do your existing pews have any cushions presently? If so, are they loose cushions that can be easily removed by a member of the church? If this is the case then removal wont be an issue for you. It will NOT impact the overall price point of your loose pew cushions. If they are attached cushions it will take time and labor to prepare the church pews for your new cushions. So it will impact the price of the pew cushions.
How wide do your church pew cushions need to be?
The width a cushions is made at is a determining factor of the price. Our cushions are priced at a standard rate until they need to be made wider than 15 1/4”. The good news is that most church only need cushions made 15”’ wide. Occasionally, we have a pew seat that requires a cushions to be made wider than this standard. It will add costs to the overall price, typically you can expect 1-2 per foot more than the standard price. The reason for this is due to extra material expenses. The wider we order our foam, the more it costs us.

You can get a couple of different styles of pew cushions and they have little effect on the price point of your cushions. Mostly we provide loose and reversible style pew cushions. These cushions come with tufted buttons and french seams. They are the most durable cushions you can get and they have a nice traditional look and feel to them. These cushions are in our standard pricing. Secondly, is our Roll Front style cushion. This cushion has a rounded front edge which feels nice. It is also reversible.

Church Pew Cushions
We were contact in the summer of 2016 by Mt. Olivet Baptist in Hartwell Georgia. They intended to do some minor renovations in their sanctuary. The pews were old, but in great shape. They are solid oak pews made out of great materials. Not only do these pews last muti-generations, but they maintain their classy appearance. We were contracted to refurbish the wood using our on site restoration service. Additionally, we covered the pew backs with upholstery, and added new Virgin Polyurethane Foam to the seats. Our church pew cushions are top grade and high quality.
New Pew Cushion Fabrics
Offering many types and styles of pew fabrics is one of our best features. If your church is looking into reviving the look and feel of their sanctuary, the color choices are always of the utmost importance. Typically, a church will spend two to three weeks choosing their final fabric selection for their cushions. This always takes more time than it planned. The most popular fabric choice these days is a polyolefin material. For good reason too. This material is heavy weight, heavy duty, easily cleaned and stain proof. Most pew cushions will be stained eventually. So the properties of the materials you use should be carefully considered. Always ask for a material that can be easily preserved and will last for 20 years or more. This information will be needed to identify how much work your pews will need. Most church pews over 25 years old are in need of new foam. These local upholstery shops are accustomed to reupholstering boat and car seats, not a 10-20′ long church bench. The company may be able to provide satisfactory results, but they are not well versed in the church pew world. They haven’t seen the many different types of pews and styles the market has to offer. Pew Padding Price Ranges
Seat only padding is the simplest form of our church pew upholstery services and it ranges from $16 per foot up to $26.
Seat and Back padding can range from $18 per linear foot, up to 30 per linear foot.
