Pew Refurbishing at St. Barbara’s Catholic Church – Powell, WY

Church: St. Barbara’s Catholic Church
Location: Powell, Wyoming
Scope: Pew refinishing + kneeler restoration (no new upholstery)

The problem

During COVID, St. Barbara’s taped off pews for distancing. Some of that tape left permanent impressions and adhesive marks — visible “X” shapes on traditional wood pews. The parish wanted the wood kept, not covered or replaced.

What we did

Sharpe’s cleaned, sanded, and refinished the damaged areas so the finish matched the rest of the sanctuary again. We also refurbished the kneelers so they looked and worked with the renewed pews — important for a Catholic parish that uses them weekly.

Result

Tape marks gone, wood looking tended, kneelers cleaned up — no upholstery, no new furniture. Just restoration where COVID leftovers had stuck around.
