Church Pew Upholstery and Carpet Renovation in Glennville, GA
Savanna Williams-Bowlin
A church in Glennville, Georgia, asked us to freshen the sanctuary — pews that had seen better days, and flooring that needed a real update. At Sharpe’s Church Interiors, that’s everyday work: new upholstery, carpet that holds up, and a room that still feels like their church when we’re done.
What we found
The pews were worn and the carpet was tired. Leadership wanted something durable that wouldn’t fight the existing look of the room. We talked through fabric and flooring options, then got to work on-site.
Pew upholstery
We reupholstered the pews in Tahoe Interweave 53 — a tough fabric that still looks at home in a traditional sanctuary. Tight fit, consistent rows, and padding that makes long services easier on everyone.
Carpet tiles in the sanctuary
For the main floor, we installed carpet tiles. They’re practical for high-traffic aisles — easier to replace a damaged tile later — and they give a warm, even surface underfoot.
Roll carpet on the stage
On the platform we laid roll carpet matched to the sanctuary tiles so the stage and floor read as one space. Continuity helps the room look finished, and the denser surface under the pulpit area is easier to work on for services and music.
How it turned out
When we wrapped up, the Glennville sanctuary looked cared for again — updated pews, solid flooring, and the same character the congregation already knew. That’s the goal on most of our jobs.
